CV

I am a London-based Spanish visual communicator and educator (b,1996) with a strong foundation in both creative and technical photography. As a freelance photographer with a versatile portfolio, I specialise in headshots for actors, models, and corporate professionals, while also offering services in event coverage, drone photography, and educational marketing.

In addition to my freelance work, I hold positions as a Photography Technician at City Lit College and a Photography Teacher at the American School in London. These roles allow me to remain deeply engaged with the latest industry practices while sharing my knowledge and passion with others. Previously, I also worked at London Metropolitan University as a Photography Technician and Print Technical Assistant further honing my skills across various photographic mediums.

Beyond client work, I co-founded The Bad Print in 2021 with Giulia Ballarin, a platform dedicated to showcasing emerging international artists who specialise in analogue and mixed media photography. As both a photographer and curator, I have been part of several group and solo exhibitions, and I have curated online exhibitions, providing me with a broad perspective on contemporary visual arts.

My approach to photography is both collaborative and adaptable. Whether working on personal art projects or delivering tailored solutions for clients, I bring technical precision and a creative eye to ensure each project aligns with the client's vision. My goal is to not just meet expectations but to exceed them, providing high-quality imagery that captures the essence of the subject.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I approach photography as a tool for decoding both myself and others. The darkroom becomes a space where the physicality of analogue methods meets the intangibility of the mind, allowing each to support the other in making sense of complex emotions and ideas. This intersection is at the heart of my practice.

My work is project-based, with a focus on memory, perception, ancestry, and identity. The frame acts as my personal journal, reflecting on ontological questions and exploring shifting aspects of identity through self-analysis. The medium and process I use vary with each project, often shifting to align with evolving themes.

Heavily analogue-based, I work with a range of equipment from half-frame cameras to large format, employing negatives for direct contact prints and experimenting with scaling. Recently, cyanotype printing has resonated with my themes and process needs. I blend digital and analogue methods in a ever-evolving reproduction process that involves shooting, developing, scanning, re-scanning, and printing repeatedly.

I value being involved in every stage of the process, maintaining control from initial shooting to final print, and I am currently exploring different bookbinding techniques as part of my ongoing experimentation. I cover both digital and physical printing, including pre and post-manipulation, to create a cohesive and evolving body of work.

My work aims to create a space for introspection, inviting to reflect on one own's stories and experiences. My work is as much about the process as it is about the outcome, blending technical skill with emotional depth to reveal the layers of personal and collective histories.
